The Igbo community in Lagos State under the leadership of Ezendigbo, Eze Christian Nwachukwu, has commended the Chairman, Senate Committee on Finance, Senator Solomon Adeola, popularly known as Yayi, for the massive empowerment of the people including the Igbo living in his constituency in Lagos West.

P.M.EXPRESS reports that recently Senator Adeola  empowered some members of Lagos West Senatorial District, the Constituency he is representing at the National Assembly, with several items.

Some of the items given out by the Distinguished Senator included transformers, sewing and grinding machines and others items worth millions of Naira.

However, one striking thing about the empowerment was that it was an all inclusive one because no tribe was left out by Senator Adeola  in the scheme.

This has attracted commendation from the traditional ruler of Ndigbo in Lagos State, Eze Christian Nwachukwu, who said that the empowerment was unique because the Igbo and other tribes were accommodated.
He thanked Senator Adeola for the gesture and stated that the Igbo Community will continue to appreciate him as he has been identifying with the Igbo in Lagos State.

“This has shown that he is a detribalized Nigerian, who believes that we are one despite where one comes from and should be commended by all.”

He advised the beneficiaries of the empowerment programme to make good use of the items in order to uplift their standard of living and that of their families.

Eze Nwachukwu noted that within one year and six months that Senator Adeola was elected, he was able to embark on such massive empowerment, noting that he has demonstrated that he understands his obligations and contract with the electorates as a top ranking Senator, who was massively voted for his credibility.

He prayed that God will continue to protect the Lawmaker, Senator Adeola and urged him to always remember the Igbo residents in  his Constituency as he has done in subsequent empowerment programmes.
