Ebira People Association, Lokoja Branch Elects New Executives In A Peaceful Poll

The long awaited election of Ebira People Association (EPA), Lokoja Branch, which is usually considered to be violent and troubling have been conducted peacefully, free and fair as a well experienced retired Customs officer and an administrator, Alhaji Damisa Suleiman was made to chair the electoral committee with his eleven team members.
Within the short limited time and some constitutional hitches, they were able to deliver to the joy of all Anebira in Lokoja where the Kogi state Governor, Yahaya Bello was said to have keen interest in the outcome of the election.
Members of the cabinet that were at the election venue during the voting exercise were pleased and commended the election committee. After the election, candidates who lost the election were not only satisfied with the results bit were magnanimous in defeat. They were seen hugging the winning candidates, singing together and chanting Ebira Anthem.
The Chairman urged the winners and losers to team up and work for the benefit of Ebira people in Lokoja as they have more to gains now under this administration if they continue in this manner of great understanding.

The Newly elected Chairman promise to make peace and unity, see to the quick completion of the Ebira House which is ongoing in (Isango)Zango Daji in Adavi via Lokoja as his priority.
The elected executive of EPA, Lokoja branch include the chairman, Comrade Moses Momoh, Hon. Salawu Ahmed, vice-chairman, Comrade Muhammed Ismaila, secretary, Abdulazeez Raji, Assistant Secretary, Comrade Lamidi Osheiza Isah, Treasurer and Usman Jimoh Onimisi, Financial Secretary.
Others are Mohammed Ohueyi Wahab, Organizing secretary, Okatahi Itopa Joseph, Publicity Secretary, Salihu Nuhu, Auditor, Abdulraham Isiaka, Youth leader, Barr. Aliyu Onotu Ibrahim, Legal Adviser and Daudu Onuchi Onyijimoh, Women Leader.
