Boundary: Ibughubu Umuchu Vigilante Chairman Advises Gov Obiano On Need To Avoid Bloodbath In Aguata Local Govt
CHUKA UBAH

The good people of Ibughubu Umuchu, Aguata Local Government Area of Anambra State, through their vigilante chairman, Ogbuefi Ralph Njirika, has called on the Executive Governor of Anambra State, His Excellency Chief Sir Willie Obiano, to do everything possible to avert the looming bloodbath between their community and Ugwunano Umunze clan both in Aguata Local Govt Area because of land boundary dispute.
P.M.EXPRESS reports that it is on record that in 1932, the Supreme Court ruled that the relevant Government agency, the National Boundary Commission, should demarcate the land for peace and harmony to reign. Surprisingly, nothing has been done to that regards up till now.
Njirika said that as the farming season approaches, there is palpable tension that the two communities might engage themselves in a bloody war which will lead to loss of lives and properties when they go back to the same farmland.
The Chairman of Ibughubu Umuchu vigilante group, who made the appeal, maintained that his community is a peaceful one, called on the relevant Government agencies to come and demarcate the said boundary before the two communities go into same land for farming.
