It was gathered that Funmilola told Bola that their landlady was facing financial challenges and wanted to sell their house. She reportedly advised Bola to tell her husband not to pay any rent to the landlady and she agreed.
However, the gossip got exposed when the landlady came to the house to demand her rent and Bola told the landlady that they will not pay because the landlady wanted to sell the house.

The landlady was shocked and demanded to know where she got the information. Bola then told her that it was Mrs. Funmilola that informed her.The landlady then summoned Funmilola before Bola and demanded to know when she had such discussion with her that she wanted to sell the house.
There was exchange of hot words between Bola and Funmilola who was angry and said if at all she said such, why would Bola reveal it to the landlady. The exchange of words led to a fight and in the process, Funmilola used a bench and injured Bola on the leg.

The matter was reported to the Police who then arrested Funmilola and detained her at the Station.
After interrogation and having been found culpable, she was charged before the Ejigbo Magistrates Court for the alleged offence and she pleaded not guilty.

The prosecutor, Inspector Benedict Aigbokhan, asked the Court to give a date for hearing to enable the Police to prove that she actually committed the alleged offence.

Thus, the Presiding Magistrate, Mr. E. O. Ogunkanmi, granted Funmilola bail in the sum of N300,000 with two sureties in like sum.
