You’re An Embodiment Of Courage – Prof Stella Okunna Tells Senator Ekwunife
The first Nigerian female Professor of Mass Communication and former Commissioner for Budget and Economic Planning under the administration of His Excellency, Mr. Peter Obi, Prof. Chinyere Stella Okunna, has described Senator Uche Ekwunife as an embodiment of courage and a woman of great distinction.
Prof. Okunna said this on Monday, March 8, 2021, when Senator Ekwunife visited Dunukofia LGA to interact with the delegates of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) as part of her ongoing tour of local governments. Ekwunife is contesting to become the next governor of Anambra State.
Speaking, Okunna expressed admiration for the Senator for showing tremendous courage in a terrain where most women find it difficult to thrive. She noted that women sometimes fall short of having the courage required to venture into politics.
Prof. Okunna appreciated the Senator for keeping the flame of women participation in politics burning. She stated that whenever she sees a woman of courage, she respects such woman.
“Distinguished Senator, I welcome you to our Local Government and pray God to give you continuing courage. I am sure women love you for who you are, for the things you do and for what you plan to do. May God guide and protect you as you campaign across the state”, Okunna concluded.
