SouthEast APC Gives Reasons For Planned Zonal Rally, Condemns Burning of Gov Uzodinma’s House

The SouthEast All Progressives Congress, APC, has given reasons for wanting to hold its Zonal Rally scheduled for the 30th of April 2021.
The Zone had in a press statement given reasons for the rally, which it said was to welcome new members who had recently defected to the party, as well as present a unified front to the country and the entire world that Ndigbo were as united as ever under the platform of the All Progressives Congress, APC.
The statement, read as follows:
“We are indeed in high spirits as the who is who in SouthEast politics will on the 30th of April come together at Okpara Square to show unity, accommodate and welcome those who have seen the light and are joining us to rescue the SouthEast from the underdevelopment forced upon us by the years of the locust and embrace the development drive of President Muhammadu Buhari in the region where we can see and feel meaningful development.”
“The rally also affords us the opportunity of the SouthEast APC leadership, ably led by Governor Hope Uzodinma and Senator Ken Nnamani, to for once put paid to the falsehood that Ndigbo are not united. The leadership will using this rally send a message to other regions that the SouthEast as a region has come of age and will stand to be counted.”
The SouthEast APC also condemned the attack on the home of Governor Hope Uzodinma, calling it an act of cowardice capable of destabilizing the region.
It also assured Governor Hope Uzodinma of its unalloyed support and promised to stand by him as he attempts to develop Imo State and better the lives of his people.
