Soludo’s Side Of The Aguluzoigbo Gist

Posted on May 5, 2021

All the while, no one has reported Soludo’s side of the now popular “Aguluzoigbo Endorsement”. On his part, Soludo went through a surge of teary moments that day as he recounted his days of wait under the heavy weight of the Party’s supremacy.
First, was in 2013 when he was outrightly disqualified from participating in the Primaries. Rather than bolt away with his mass of loyal supporters and cause a major stair, Soludo placed #APGAFirst and called a Press briefing wherein he accepted the Party’s decision and threw his weight fully in support of the Party’s decision. The outcome of the Isuofia 2013 election validates this claim.

The next was in 2017, this time, the pressure intensified from both inside and outside sources. Soludo stood a chance if he dared, in the least, he could have decided to break the ranks of the Party by making a demand for the Senatorial ticket. Again, he defied personal interest and worked for the good of the Party. In what looks like the historic Ojukwu’s “Last wish” statement of 2010, Soludo provided the promissory note upon which APGA secured another resounding 4years mandate from ndi Anambra.

A grateful APGA deemed him fit to be amongst her Board of Trustees. Selflessly and for the love of APGA, Soludo is the only Aspirant who has consulted and reached out to his fellow Party men informing them of his desire to serve ndi Anambra on the platform of the Party. He has further accepted their individual right to aspire as, according to him, “they are all eminently qualified for the plum job”. In recognition that the power to make this be rests in the hands of the Party, Soludo has continued to call for a free and fair contest, even if it means an option A4 approach.

In his usual calm disposition, Soludo has publicly declared and privately said to the relevant players, that if he is defeated by anyone at the Primaries, he will support them to victory. However, he also entreats them to commit to doing same for him if he wins.

To Soludo, APGA is a symbol of his commitment to the Igbo struggle, and I will state why in a sequel to this piece.
