2021 Nationwide League One: Buruj FC Forces Future Builders FC To 2-2 Draw

It was a thrilling encounter yesterday at the Araromi Youth Development Centre, Gbagada, Lagos as Buruj FC forced Future Builders FC to a 2-2 draw.

In the first half, both teams pressed forward entertaining the spectators with an impressive performance; Future Builders were more lively with their ball possession but the Buruj Boys kept on with the pressure. The first half ended goalless.

Second Half kicked off with both teams pushing forward trying to score their first goal.
At 5mins of play, it was the right time for Future Builders FC to score their first goal after a defensive error by Oliyide Saheed.
Buruj FC got a free kick as one of their player was hacked resulting to a penalty which was well taken by Noah Salaudeen to level up the game to 1 – 1 at exactly 55mins of play.
Buruj Football Club made their first substitution after Nwanchukwu Amanze had contributed his own quota in the match and was replaced with Fatai Aliu.
Future Builders FC Goal Keeper made a Goal Kick which was missed by the Buruj FC defender Fatai Aliu which results in Future Builder FC’s striker spotting the back of the net to score their second goal in the 67mins of play by shooting to the far post to beat Buruj FC Goal Keeper, Edet Inyang, after a lot of saves to make the result (2-1).


Buruj FC then made two more substitutions – Raheem Salaudeen and Dappa Da-Asawo, who entered the game and made their impact.
Both teams continue to press each other when the score line was in favour of Future Builders FC in 79mins of play.


Buruj FC Skeeper, Noah Salaudeen, scored the equalizing goal at 85mins by shooting the ball to the right post via his left foot to make the result (2-2).


At Full time, the game ended 2 – 2 draw.
The match was seen by LASTMA Head of Logistics, Mr. Oki Emmanuel, who was present to grace his surprise birthday celebration.  
Mr. Emmanuel is a sports lover who loves children with great passion for talent discovery.
Also present at the venue were Commander Bravo Akeem Adeosun, Head of Auto Reg Mr. Rasheed Okunola who spotted Buruj Sports Academy youngster Raheem Salaudeen and promised to kit him up in poise to celebrate children’s day. 


The Management of Buruj Football Club appreciated the Future Builders FC, which plays in Ibadan, Oyo State. 

The CEO of Buruj FC, Dr. Waheed Buruj Salaudeen, called for unity amongst Nigerian youth as Football is a symbol of unity and strength with no room for cultural diversity and ethnicity.
