Football Mogul Dr. Salaudeen Waheed Buruj Meets FK Decic President Pal Dreshaj Over Potential Football Partnership

From Nigeria’s third-tier league to Europe, football entrepreneur, Dr. Salaudeen Waheed Buruj, is expanding his football ambitions on the international stage.
Dr. Buruj, Chief Executive Officer of Buruj Football Club and Buruj Sports Academy, has met with FK Decic President, Pal Dreshaj, in Montenegro to discuss a potentially lucrative football contract.
The meeting followed an earlier engagement ahead of FK Decic’s home fixture, and provided another opportunity for the Nigerian football administrator to strengthen ties with the Montenegrin top-flight club and pursue his international football business ambitions.
Buruj Football Club currently competes in Nigeria’s Nationwide League One, NLO, the third tier of the Nigerian football league system.
Although the club operates outside the top two divisions, its leadership has continued to pursue a long-term vision focused on grassroots football, youth development, international exposure and progression of talented players to higher levels of the game.
The meeting with the FK Decic president represents another step in Dr. Buruj’s ambition to connect Nigerian football development with opportunities in Europe.

Over the years, Buruj Football Club and Sports Academy have built a reputation for investing in young footballers and supporting their progression through competitive football and national-team pathways. Players developed within the organisation have progressed to opportunities linked with Nigeria’s youth national teams, including the Future Eagles U-15, Golden Eaglets U-17, U-20 and U-23 pathways.
At the heart of Buruj Sports Academy is its Play and Study philosophy, which combines football training with formal education. The programme is designed to help young players develop their sporting abilities while continuing their academic studies, ensuring education remains central to their future.
Beyond player development, Dr. Buruj has also pursued a long-term infrastructure vision, having acquired about three acres of land over the years towards his ambition of building a stadium to support training, competitions and youth development.
International exposure has remained a key part of the Buruj model, with players associated with the academy pursuing opportunities through overseas tournaments, trials, training camps and development programmes across European markets including Spain, Portugal, Lithuania, Albania, Germany and Poland.

The talks between Dr. Buruj and FK Decic President Pal Dreshaj could mark an important development in the Nigerian club executive’s European ambitions, with the scope and terms of any agreement subject to further negotiations and formal confirmation by both parties.
From the Nationwide League One in Nigeria to meetings with football leadership in Montenegro, Dr. Buruj continues to pursue a vision built around player development, education, international exposure and long-term football infrastructure.
