Samsong, Asu Ekiye, Francis Duru, Others Scout for GCGT7 Talents

Nigerian gospel artistes, Samsong and Asu Ekiye, alongside Nollywood actor, Francis Duru and OAP Matilda Duncan are among big names in the entertainment industry announced as the scouts for the God’s Children Great Talent (GCGT) Season 7 Auditions holding on 13 & 14 April in Abuja.

Samsong based in Abuja has had a successful recording career with hits including Bianule, and several accolades such as The Psalmist Award in 2000 as well as also being nominated as “Best Gospel Artist” by Nigerian Entertainment Awards (NEA) in New York in 2008.

He has graced the stage with Gospel greats like Marvin Winans, Donnie McClurkin and Panam Percy Paul, as well as successful mainstream artists like Donell Jones, Kenny Latimore, 112, 2Baba, D’Banj, Faze, and Styl Plus.

Asu Ekiye is a prolific, multi award winning African Gospel artist. A trained accountant who became leading icon in Gospel music, Asu Ekiye, no doubt is a household name when it comes to Gospel music in Nigeria and Africa in general. With hit like “Woekilemo”, Asu Ekiye became a pacesetter in the Gospel Music industry in Nigeria.

Francis Duru is a top Nollywood actor, Director, MC and comedian. Born and raised in Cameroon, Duru graduated from the University of Port Harcourt with a degree in Theatre Arts.

The Imo State role interpreter has starred in many hit movies like Rampage, Dust to Dust, Rattle Snake amongst others.

Matilda Duncan is a top-notch presenter for Rhythm 94.7FM in Abuja. She has been highly recognised for her skills as an entertaining voice and personality.

Other top personalities like Marion Ahmed, Dayo Benjamins-Laniyi, Six Foot Plus and Gospel on the Beatz will also be among the scouts who will discover exceptional talents at the Abuja Auditions for GCGT season 7 this weekend.

Interested participants who are unable to register online, can register at the venue, Sandralia Hotel, Solomon Lar Way, Jabi, FCT, Abuja by 8.30am prompt.

God’s Children Great Talent (GCGT) is Africa’s Biggest Youth Talent Competition. An initiative of City of David Parish of the Redeemed Christian Church of God that continues to identify and celebrate talents in children and young adults from age 5 to 20 years.
