Contrary to a trending video where Lagos socialite, Ms. Honora Olumide Johnson has alleged she’s been intimidated by billionaire mogul, Dr. Mike Adenuga Jnr. using the operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, fresh revelation indicated that the anti-graft agency was only executing a recent order of the Federal High Court.

P.M.EXPRESS gathered that Justice A. Lewis Allagoa of the Federal High Court, Lagos Division has ordered the EFCC to take possession of all property owned by the society woman, Ms Nora Johnson.

It was learnt that the anti-graft agency had received a petition over some infractions allegedly committed by Ms. Johnson while still working with a Lagos-based company, Worldspan Holdings, one of Adenuga’s companies.

The woman was accused of over invoicing on purchase of vehicles, inflating air ticket fares and many other infractions amount in local and foreign currencies to be in excess of N1billion.

According to sources, Ms. Johnson, said to be a Former Confidential Secretary to Adenuga for nearly 30 years, had been accused of filching money belonging to Worldspan Holdings to the tune of $300,000 which was meant to be transferred to a Conoil account, but instead transferred the funds to a different account in China for her benefits.

Ms Johnson was also accused of methodically stealing various currencies in naira and foreign currencies in the total equivalent of $350,000 between 2018 and 2020 in her former office.

Upon the discovery of the alleged fraud, a petition was filed against her and some other persons.

This then prompted the interim forfeiture of some properties and bank accounts on the order of Justice A.M. Liman on February 16, 2021, following an application on behalf of the Federal Government of Nigeria by the EFCC.

In response, Ms Johnson allegedly denied everything, arguing that she had left the employ of Dr. Mike Adenuga in 2019 because he kept pestering her to continue their alleged over 30-year-old romantic relationship.

She alleged that the EFCC was doing the bidding of her former boss and harassed her to no end, ejecting her from her residence in the process.

However, on March 21, 2021, Ms Johnson and the other respondents: Babajide Aremu Johnson, Olabose Ibrahim Falobi, Steve Nnamdi Izebu, Steve Ibem and Bakoliza Limited went to court to suspend or stay execution on Justice Liman’s order.

They had sought the following: an order to discharge the interim order of forfeiture of assets, an order discharging the final forfeiture and any other orders as deemed fit by the court.

In his judgment on July 15, 2021 after hearing J.O. Adeyemi, Esq, Counsel for the Applicant/Respondent and V.C. Nwokafor Counsel for the 1st, 2nd and 6th Respondents/Applicants, Justice Allagoa ordered that the motion of Ms. Johnson and the other respondents dated March 12, 2021 is “hereby set aside”.

The judgment stated further: “That the order of Justice Liman stands in all its ramifications” and “That the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) are entitled to take possession of all that properties subject of the Order of my Lord A.M. Liman on 16th day of February, 2021”.

Following its decision to execute the order of the Federal High Court, EFCC visited the home of Ms. Johnson to evict her and then the drama recorded in the viral video where she was seen wailing, begging and making wild allegations against the telcoms magnate.

It was gathered that as her reaction to the court ruling, the woman had to allegedly resort to blackmailing and being melodramatic with the release of the video after several efforts employed to prevent the Federal Government from taking possession of her assets as has now been ordered by the court failed.

Ms. Johnson is a Sierra Leonean who came to Nigeria in search of employment years ago and was fortunate to have been employed in the company where she enjoyed several mouth-watering perks.

But it appeared her avaricious tendency is turning her greatest undoing as all that she acquired illegally are being confiscated by the law one after the other.

Not willing to let go easily, Ms. Johnson was said to have decided to play victim, drags the unobtrusive business mogul in the mud and whip the needed emotions by blaming her woes on him: wailed that no husband and no children while she hung on for 30 years and alleged that 27 of those years as mistress to the billionaire who did zilch for her.
