Woman Hits Neighbour’s Head With Hammer

A 38-year old woman,  Onuoha Blessing, has been arrested and charged before a Lagos court for allegedly using a hammer to smash the head of her neighbour, Folashade Adebisi.
The victim, Folashade, 42, suffered her fate when she engaged Blessing in a public fight in their compound at 9, Ilesanmi street, Isolo, Lagos, Nigeria.
The hammer broke her head and she bled profusely and was rushed to a hospital for treatment.
P.M.EXPRESS gathered that the two women have been living like cat and mouse in their compound without revealing the  cause of their quarrel.
Their neighbours have equally attempted to settle the rift but they refused to open up and say what was the problem.
On the day they fought, they reportedly engaged in exchange of words before Blessing allegedly hit Folashade with a hammer.
The matter was reported at Aswani Police Division and Blessing was arrested and charged to court.
She was charged with conduct likely to cause breach of public peace and assault under the Criminal Code.
She pleaded not guilty.
The presiding Magistrate, Mrs A. O. Adedayo granted Blessing bail in the sum of N50,000 with one surety in like sum.
She was remanded in prison custody pending when she will perfect her bail condition.
The matter was adjourned till 14 October, 2016.
