As elections of Lagos State Football Coaches Association is drawing nearer, the chairman electoral committee, Suraju Alao has promised to conduct free and fair elections and assured all candidates a level playing ground.

Alao said this in a chat with our correspondent over the weekend that the electoral committee is working round the clock to ensure that all the candidates contesting for various positions are given equal treatment.

“We members of electoral committee have started working already and we are not in support or against any candidate that want to contest for one position or the other but we can only disqualify a candidate if he fails to meet electoral guidelines. Let me use this medium to announce to all candidates that we are equal to the task and there is no cause for alarm,” he said.

Alao further said the registration forms for the elections would soon be announced and urged the interested candidates to begin their campaign in preparation for elections proper.

“Very soon, we would advertise all the positions available for the association and before this week runs out, our registration forms would be announced for any interested candidate to come and purchase their forms at our secretariat. We wish all the candidates best of luck in their campaign,” he said.

The date of manifestos and elections proper into Lagos State Football Coaches Associations would be announced this week by electoral committee.

Three candidates are showing interest in the position of chairmanship seat. The names are David Dosu, Ifeanyichukwu ikpo Moses and Tairu Hassan.
