It is going to be 21 days of sporting activities and skill learning for the participating students from both public and private secondary schools in Lagos State.

P.M. EXPRRESS reports that the Summer Camp was designed for pre-teens between ages 9-14 in a secured and conducive environment with caring and experienced camp counselors to guide them throughout.
The Lagos Sports Summer Camp was borne out of the need to design a conducive environment where children come together to develop a sense of independence and creativity, without parental, but, professional guidance.
No fewer than 120 students were camped for six days at the Teslim Balogun Stadium in Surulere during the first edition of the Summer Camp last year where they were exposed to basics rudiments of sports such as Athletics, Table-tennis, Basketball, Taekwondo, Judo, Swimming, Squash and Volleyball. So also, they were taken through entrepreneurial and vocational skills in tie and dye, tilling, make up, interlocking and drama.

Handled by seasoned instructors and coaches of the Sports Commission, the students, many of whom have not engaged in any sporting activities before now, were seen at the closing ceremony of the camping exercise giving testimonies of how their life have been transformed within a very short time while in the camp.
P.M. EXPRESS reports that the parents of the children who were at the closing ceremony were also excited seeing their wards displaying their skills in various sports which hitherto had not been part of their life before coming to the summer camp.
