Enugu APC In Safe Hands With Ken Nnamani – Nnaji Says

The Acting State Caretaker Committee Chairman of the Enugu APC, Prince Chukwunta Gibert Nnaji, has denied the allegation that Senator Ken Nnamani, the SouthEast representative at the Caretaker and Extraordinary Convention Planning Committee, CECPC of the All Progressives Congress, was engineering the shutting out of Legacy Foundation members of the party. 

Prince Nnaji stated this while responding to SOS message earlier sent by a few members of the party, in which they alleged that the one-time Senate President was muscling out foundation members of the party via the adoption of  consensus mode of voting in the recently held congresses in Enugu State. 

Nnaji’s statement is perhaps a strong reaction to the claims made by Mrs. Kate Ofor, where she accused Nnamani of wanting to shut out those she described as APC Foundation Legacy members in Enugu State.

Ofor had alleged that:“Foundation members of APC in Enugu State has gradually improved the electoral fortunes of our great party from 2015 to 2019 general elections; we need to improve more especially with registration of new members. However, we wish to appeal that the flagrant breach of Article 20 of the APC Constitution by Senator Ken Nnamani’s imposition called consensus be urgently addressed before the October 2, 2021 State Congress”. 

Ofor also expressed her dissatisfaction with the membership of the new Reconciliation Committee headed by Senator Adamu Abdullahi. 
She based her dissatisfaction with the Reconcilliation Commitee on the presence of Sullivan Chime, who she described was a hand-gun surrogate of Nnamani.

However. Nnaji was of the opinion that Senator Nnamani did not supervise Enugu State but the entire SouthEast Zone.

He stated that in the course of the congresses, Nnamani had participated in his Ward ard and Local Government alone and did not participate in any other Ward of LGA.

He highlighted that any issues raised by anybody ought to be directed to the Appeal Panel, which has been set up by the party to address any issues arising from the Congresses, and that anybody doing otherwise was merely playing to the gallery and thus should not be taken seriously as these were people, who had sought to highjack the process but had failed.
