Coaches, Club Owners Storm Badagry For Okafor Challenge Cup Draws

Members of Lagos State Football Coaches Association and football club owners are expected to witness the first-ever draw ceremony of Comrade Emmanuel Okafor Football Championship scheduled to hold on 28th, September, Tuesday at Car wash bar opposite Asiriabo football pitch, Iyano- Era Badagry Expressway, Lagos.

Director of MJ Sports Promotion, Whensu Joseph Preye said the organisers have sent invitational letters to coaches and club owners to add glamour to the draws ceremony.

Among coaches invited including vice chairman Lagos State FootballCoaches Association, Bishop Lawson Sampson, Chairman Ajeromi Football Coaches Council, Mike, Adebayo, Chairman Iba Football Coaches Council, Dauda Usman, Secretary of Badagry Divisional Football Association, Raymond Akalougwu and Chairman Amuwo- Odofin Football Coaches Council, Rasheed Tella.

Others are head coach Nilayo FC, Sunday Olusoji, team manager of Giant Brillars, Chuks Osuji and chairman Ojo Football Coaches Council, Chijioke Anyanji and a host of others.

Preye confirmed that no fewer than 32 teams are expected to take part in a competition that would last for some weeks.

He said the competition would be tough noted that all the clubs that would feature in the competition have football pedigree in Badagry and other parts of Lagos.

In his own comment, Ilorin Sonbari Markarbo who is also a member of organizing committee tasked the participating teams to abide by the rules and regulation saying that any team violates the rules would be sanctioned accordingly.

He further said they have contacted certified referees that would officiate all the matches and warned football fans to desist from any social vices that can ruin the competition.
