Nollywood Star, Jim Iyke Pays Homage To Ezeigbo Ghana With Diamond VIP Seat Reservation For His Movie Premiere

Ghana was agog yesterday, 2nd October, 2021, as hundreds of fans and supporters of Nollywood ‘Bad Boy’ and Nigeria’s star Actor, Jim Iyke, thronged the SilverBird Cinemas, Accra, to have a glimpse of their favourite screen top notch, who came alongside his Special Guest and Chief Host, His Royal Majesty, Eze Dr. Amb. Chukwudi Ihenetu – Ezeigbo in Ghana.

The Nollywood A-list Actor, Jim Iyke, we gathered arrived Accra, the capital of Ghana, on Thursday morning, September 30th, 2021, with members of his crew for the movie premiere of his latest and debut work, ‘Bad Comments’ –  a movie which addresses the negative impact of cyberbullying and online trolling among social media users. 

As a true Igbo son with deep respect for leadership and traditional institution, the Nollywood Movie Star’s first port of call on arrival was at the Royal Palace of Obi Ndigbo, Obi Eziokwu, under His Royal Majesty, Eze Dr. Amb. Chukwudi Ihenetu, to pay homage to the Ezeship stool of ndi Igbo in Ghana, and as well receive traditional blessings from the Monarch.

The star-studded movie, Bad Comments, which was also premiered in Lagos, Nigeria, at the popular FilmHouse Imax Cinemas last month with an elaborate red carpet event, witnessed massive turn out and avalanche of support from both  music and movie stars like Timaya, Phyno, Rudeboy, Uche Jumbo, Ini Edo, Toyin Abraham, Jidekene Achifusi, Deyemi Okonlawon among other  celebrated Instagram skits producers.

Appearing humble and so elated, Jim Iyke while giving his Chief Host – Eze Igbo in Ghana, a special invitation for his movie premiere, expresed appreciation  for being accorded such royal reception  by no less personality than Eze Dr. Chukwudi Ihenetu, who presented kolanuts to the movie star and members of his team at his palace as a mark of warm reception in Igbo tradition and social anthropology.

Eze-Igbo Ghana, however, prayed for the success of their business trip to Ghana while assuring them of the support of his palace whenever they are in Ghana to shoot movies or related business tours. 

On Saturday, at the movie premiere, the Igbo Monarch, Eze Dr. Ihenetu, displayed royalty as he was adorned on red traditional regale while the Nollywood  Star Actor, Jim Iyke, also dressed in red designer blazer-suit with a touch of black t -shirt inside, as both celebrated public figures had a swell time in a conducive atmosphere at the SilverBird Cinemas, befitting such social conviviality, as people thronged the garage of the Cinemas to snap pictures and take videos of the two men.

Interestingly, one of the Palace Chiefs, Chief Okwudili Nwandu (Aku Na Eshi Obi Ike of Mbaise), footed the bills as he  singlehandedly sponsored two sessions of the movie premiere so as to allow people, friends, fans and supporters of Jim Iyke to share pleasantries and complimentaries with their much loved  Nollywood Super Star and August visitor in Ghana.
