Orie Uga Market Traders To Hold Mega Rally For APGA, Set To Endorse Dr. Chibueze Ofobuike For House Of Reps

All is now set for a mega rally by traders of Orie Uga Market in Aguata Local Government Area of Anambra State, in conjunction with Uga Ward 2 stakeholders, in support of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA).
The rally, tagged “Orie Uga Market Traders Mega Rally In Conjunction With Uga Ward 2 Stakeholders,” is scheduled to hold on Thursday, 22nd October, 2026, at Orie Uga Market, Uga.
The organizers said the rally is being put together to publicly demonstrate the collective support of traders and stakeholders of Uga Ward 2 for APGA and to endorse its House of Representatives candidate, Dr. Chibueze Ofobuike.
According to information made available to our correspondent, the mega rally is expected to attract thousands of traders from Orie Uga Market, market leaders, youth and women groups, APGA faithful and supporters from across Uga Ward 2 and beyond.
Speaking ahead of the rally, leaders of the market association described Dr. Chibueze Ofobuike as a generally accepted candidate among all the candidates vying for the House of Representatives seat.
They praised Dr. Ofobuike as a man of proven integrity, competence, humility and outstanding track record, who has distinguished himself in his private and public life.
They noted that among all the candidates contesting for the position, Dr. Chibueze Ofobuike stands out as the most credible, the most accessible, and the most prepared to give the people quality and people-oriented representation at the National Assembly.
The traders said Dr. Ofobuike understands the challenges facing traders and small business owners, including poor market infrastructure, lack of access to soft loans, multiple taxation and poor federal presence, and is committed to addressing them through effective legislation and attraction of federal projects if elected.
They described him as a grassroots politician, who has always identified with market men and women, who listens to the people and who has the capacity to transform the constituency with his wealth of experience and contacts.
Uga Ward 2 stakeholders, who are co-organizing the rally, also eulogized Dr. Chibueze Ofobuike, describing him as a unifier, a bridge-builder and a man with a clear vision for the development of Aguata Federal Constituency.
They said APGA as a party has continued to enjoy massive support in Anambra State because of its people-centered policies and its status as a truly Igbo party, and that presenting Dr. Ofobuike as its candidate for the House of Representatives is another demonstration of the party’s commitment to giving the people the best.
The stakeholders said that the forthcoming rally will be an opportunity for traders to speak with one voice and declare that APGA is their party and Dr. Chibueze Ofobuike is their choice.
They called on all traders, residents and eligible voters in Uga Ward 2 to come out en masse on the 22nd of October to participate in the rally and to show solidarity for APGA.
The rally, which will feature solidarity marches, display of APGA banners, chanting of party slogans and cultural displays, is expected to be a carnival-like event that will further strengthen the party at the grassroots.
The organizers have been widely praised for the initiative, which many political observers have described as strategic, timely and a clear indication of the growing acceptability of Dr. Chibueze Ofobuike across the constituency.
Political analysts noted that Orie Uga Market is one of the largest commercial hubs in Uga, and any candidate who enjoys the support of its traders is already on the path to victory.
