Black Tuesday In Njaba: 2 Traditional Rulers Gunned Down By Unknown Assailants

It was a horrific Tuesday afternoon, in Njaba LGA, Imo State, as unidentified assailants, nicknamed unknown gunmen, stormed the LGA Headquarters where traditional rulers were reportedly having their meeting and gunned two traditional rulers while about three others were said to be in coma. 

The two traditional rulers, who were allegedly shot dead on the spot according to a video trending online were the traditional ruler of Okwudor Autonomous Community, HRH Eze Anayo and traditional ruler of Ihebinowerre Antonomous Community, HRH  Eze Osunwa, all in Njaba Local Government Area of Imo State.

Eze Onyeaka of Nkume was wounded on the head and was rushed to the hospital, while Eze Umunam Atta was shot on his waist. The traditional rulers were said to be holding meeting at Nnenassa when the hoodlooms came and opened fire on them.
What could have caused the despicable murder of the two Imo monarchs is yet to be disclosed by the Police as people deserted the area for fear of being victims of circumstance.
