SEGUN AJAYI

It’s a common knowledge to you and I that riches and wealth intoxicate especially in this part of the world or do I say in Nigeria. This is commonly found among the children of the affluent. No wonder no Nollywood scriptwriter has disappointed in writing in support of my claim. Some tend to be braggadocios, garrulous and arrogant. They look and treat fellow brothers and sisters most importantly, the average and those at the bottom of the ladder, sometimes, they visit their onslaughts on their fellow spoilt dudes depending on the level of the riches of the parents of their would – be victims.

In some cases, it’s generational, you find it running in the family, parents and children are in it together. For no wrongs or mistakes, they rant on you with unspeakable contents. I have the locus standi for this revelation because I have mingled with for decades. THEY BLATANTLY FORGET THAT WHATEVER MADE BY MAN NOT HIS MAKING BUT THAT OF GOD.

The goodness to the honest truth is that we have a quite smaller percentage of them with a large heart, God fearing and humble to a fault. One of such is PRINCESS MOJISOLA TEJUOSO. Money never missed road with Aunty Moo because of her love for the downtrodden and perhaps, the street.

Aside being an epitome of humility, she’s a philanthropist par excellence. I can’t be wrong giving this account of someone I have been around her since 1992, others call her MOJ1 but I call her Aunty Moo. She doesn’t wait for you to finish your lamentation or your cries before you get a relief and should in case your case is no go area, she wouldn’t mince words to tell you, she can’t help but still proffer a solution – Eleyinju aanu I can ever describe.

Like husband like wife, Aunty Moo is a rare gem, a workaholic, a cheerful giver, blunt and precise on issues and an unrepentant Agboko l’ori (someone who holds her husband and family in high esteem) among others.

She’s an abiyamo to to, indeed an African woman who doesn’t condone no insolence.

On this day, I return all glory to God Almighty and blessings to Aunty Moo as she added a new year today. I plead with God to bless her more, enlarge and enrich her coasts, establish her seeds and empower her more to bless her people. HAPPY BIRTHDAY AND MANY HAPPIER RETURNS OF THE DAY MA!

Princess Moji Tejuoso is the CEO, Royal Mandarin Restaurant and Mayfair Club, Abeokuta. She’s happily married to Distinguished Senator Lanre Tejuoso and blessed with children and grandchildren.
