Abacha Community Is Pleased With Your Representation – Igwe Odiegwu Tells Ekwunife

Posted on January 16, 2023

The message of consolidation in Anambra Central Senatorial District continues to gain momentum as the Senator representing the zone, Uche Ekwunife, PhD, Sunday, January 15, 2023, made pomp entry into Abacha, Idemili North LGA.

Ekwunife visited the palace of the traditional ruler of Abacha, HRH Igwe Godwin Nwabunwanne Odiegwu and his cabinet members to thank them for their support in the previous elections and officially inform them of her intention to once again to seek their mandate to return to the Senate.

Receiving the Senator, the palace secretary, Amb. Jeff Uba happily welcomed the Ekwunife and her entourage and lauded the federal Lawmaker for her diligence and courageous efforts at the floor of the Senate. He further admitted that the Senator has done well especially her intervention project at St. Michael Secondary School, Abacha.

Responding, Senator Ekwunife expressed gratitude for the warm reception, adding that Abacha is one of the unique and peaceful communities in Anambra State and noted that she has graciously represented the zone since she was elected in 2019. While appealing to the people of Abacha to encourage her efforts by supporting her re-election, the grassroots-friendly Senator stated that National Assembly is about ranking and as a ranking Senator, she stands a better chance of attracting development and better positions to the zone than electing a non-ranking member.

Conclusively, Ekwunife stated that she may not have done equal projects in every community but it is better to support a project-oriented Lawmaker than those who do not have the wherewithal to attract dividends of democracy. The Senator highlighted her numerous achievements in Abacha notably supply of School Materials to Santa Maria secondary school and Community Primary School Abacha, supply of a tricycle, provision of solar street lights, supply of school furnitures renovation of St. Michael Secondary school, Abacha, free medical outreach in Abacha and facilitation of Federal Government grants and pensionable jobs to Abacha youths, amongst others.

From the Igwe’s Palace, Senator Ekwunife and her entourage proceeded to Fadama field, Abacha where she interacted with the good people of Abacha and appealed for their support ahead of February 25th election.

Present were the Member representing Idemili North and South Federal Constituency, Obinna Chidoka, PDP State Assembly Candidate for Idemili North, Hon. Vincent Obi (Eze Udo), Director General Ekwunife campaign organization, Chief A. A Anagu amongst others.
