Abimbola Odunmbaku Donates Baby Care Items As She Champions World Breastfeeding And MNCAH Plus Nutrition Week
Mrs. Abimbola Odunmbaku, wife of the Executive Chairman of Ojodu LCDA, actively supported the 2024 World Breastfeeding Week and Maternal, Newborn, Child, and Adolescent Health (MNCAH) Plus Nutrition Week at the Gbadamosi Primary Health Centre.
This initiative, a joint effort by the Lagos State Ministry of Health, UNICEF, and the Office of the First Lady of Lagos State, H.E. Dr. Mrs. Claudiana Ibijoke Sanwo-Olu, focused on the theme “Closing the Gap, Breastfeeding Support For All.”
The event underscored the critical need for comprehensive support for breastfeeding mothers. Mrs. Odunmbaku’s involvement was marked by her generous donation of essential baby care items to 150 nursing mothers, reflecting her steadfast commitment to improving maternal and child health.
“The programme highlights our ongoing dedication to enhancing the health and well-being of mothers, children, and adolescents within our community,” Mrs. Odunmbaku stated. She emphasized the essential role of breastfeeding in child development and affirmed her commitment to supporting mothers in this crucial aspect of child-rearing.”
The collaboration with UNICEF and the Lagos State Government underscores Ojodu LCDA’s unwavering commitment to advancing maternal and child health. Attendees included Women Leader Alhaja Bukky Badmus, Supervisor for Health Seye Oyekan and MOH, Dr Olushola Tanimowo.
