Adamu Visits Lagos Sports Commission, Hails Ambode For Appointing Tandoh, Bank-Anthony

Former Executive Board member of world football governing body, FIFA and ex Director General of National Sports Commission, NSC, Dr Amos Adamu has declared that the direction at which Governor Akinwunmi Ambode has put sports in Lagos is a good development that will stand the test of time.

Dr Adamu was at the Teslim Balogun Stadium, Surulere, Lagos Thursday to visit the Executive Chairman of Lagos State Sports Commission, Dr Kweku Tandoh and the Director General of the Commission, Hon Fatai Babatunde Bank-Anthony to congratulated the duo on their appointments by Governor Ambode to stir the ship of Lagos sports.

The former Director of Sports in the Federal Ministry of Sports told his hosts that he was so happy when he heard about the appointments of Tandoh and Bank-Anthony, adding that Governor Ambode has a good foresight committing the administration of sports into the hands of the two administrators of repute.

“Let me thank the Governor, His Excellency, Akinwunmi Ambode for putting round pegs in round holes in Lagos sports. This was the best things that could happen to sports development in a state known for its excellency. Tandoh has been an astute sports administrator to the core. I knew he is capable of surpassing already laid records in Lagos. And of course, Mr Bank-Anthony will bring his wealth of experience to take sports in Lagos to the next level, ” Adamu said.

Adamu further disclosed that he would always be around to give his advice to them as he believes that Lagos sports is in good hands.

The Chairman, Dr Tandoh, thanked Dr Adamu for the visit, adding that the management of Lagos State Sports Commission was happy to have him at the Teslim Balogun Stadium and will always count on him in the future, while the Director General of the Commission, Hon Bank-Anthony said for them to play host to Adamu, a doyen of sports at their office showed the love he has for Lagos sports.
