ADC Chairman, Omidiji Blasts Oyetola, Says APC Has Failed In Osun State
The government of Isiaka Oyetola has been described as a failure with the governor’s style of governance in piloting the affairs of Osun state.
Speaking with journalists after the state executive meeting of the party in Osogbo on Wednesday, Chairman of Africa Democratic Congress (ADC), Osun State chapter, Dr Charles Omidiji described the government of Governor Oyetola as a government that has impoverished the life of people in the state.
“Instead of taking Osun state to the next level as their party slogan says, he has taken Osun State backwards in hundred steps. Mr Oyetola has continued to blame his predecessor for the huge loan left behind, but he has not been able to tell us the situation of assets Mr Rauf Aregbesola left behind. If Oyetola thinks Osun state people are a fool, he must be joking as his government’s abysmal failure is glaring and no amount of blame game will rescue him and his party from defeat come 2022 when the governorship election will hold in Osun State,” Dr Omidiji said.
When asked about the chances of his party in the governorship election in the face of stiff oppositions from the ruling All Progressive Congress (APC) and People’s Democratic Party (PDP), Dr Omidiji submitted that the two parties have ruled Osun state and every patriotic citizen knows they are a failure.
“Our party is providing a meaningful and purposeful alternative for our people in Osun state, and we are encouraged and humbled with the level of support our party has received from the electorate in the state, and come 2022, Osun state will breathe the fresh air of freedom in health, education, infrastructure development, good security architecture that will guarantee the security of life and property. I want to assure that our government will not take money from the poor people of Osun state before we give them jobs,” Omidina said.
