Adelabu To FIRS Chairman Adedeji: You’re A Beacon of Hope For Nation’s Economic Growth

Minister of Power, Chief Adebayo Adelabu has extended his warmest congratulations to Dr. Zacchaeus Adedeji, the Executive Chairman of the Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS), on the occasion of his 47th birthday.

In a statement issued by Bolaji Tunji, Special Adviser, Strategic Communication and Media Relations, the Minister said Adedeji’s birthday marked a “significant milestone in the life of a dedicated public servant, a champion of revenue generation, and a beacon of hope for Nigeria’s economic growth”.

Adelabu noted that as Adedeji is celebrating another year of life, it offers an opportunity to reflect on his remarkable achievements and the invaluable contributions he has made to Nigeria.

“Under Dr. Adedeji’s leadership, the FIRS has witnessed unprecedented growth and transformation. His vision, expertise, and commitment to excellence have been instrumental in shaping the agency into a world-class revenue collection institution. The impact of his stewardship is evident in the significant increase in revenue generation, which has been a game-changer for Nigeria’s economy”, he said.

He continues, “As the Minister of Power, I have had the privilege of working closely with Dr. Adedeji on various initiatives aimed at promoting economic growth and development. His passion, energy, and collaborative spirit are contagious, and I have no doubt that his leadership will continue to inspire and motivate others to strive for excellence.

“As Dr. Adedeji marks this significant milestone, I wish to acknowledge his selfless dedication to public service. His tireless efforts to promote transparency, accountability, and good governance in the revenue collection process have earned him the respect and admiration of his peers, both within and outside the country.
