Police operatives from Area D, Idimu, Lagos, have arrested a 22-year old adopted son, Gideon Elias, for allegedly attempting to eliminate his mother, Mrs. Charity Elias and her daughters in order to inherit the family property having realized that he was not the biological child of the family.
P.M.EXPRESS reports that the incident happened at Fagbile Estate, Isheri Oshun area of Lagos, where they reside.
He has been charged to Court for allegedly threatening the members of the family violently by ordering them to hand over the family property as the only son.
According to the family, trouble started after the demise of their father, who passed on two years ago and Gideon started making demands for the property documents.
He claimed that since their father was dead, as the only son in the family, he was entitled to it and asked for the documents of all the properties as the new head of the family.
It was gathered that Mrs. Charity got married to her late husband and they had five female children without a male child. He then arranged and adopted Gideon 22 years ago and brought him into the family.

The Police found him culpable and subsequently charged him before the Ejigbo Magistrate Court for the threats and his violent conduct.
He pleaded not guilty when he was arraigned.
The prosecutor, Supol Benedict Aigbokhan, then asked the Court to give a date for hearing since he pleaded not guilty to enable the Police to prove that he actually committed the alleged offence.
