Aguata – Now A New Journey Begins!

Nze Chidi Duru represented the good people of Aguata Federal Constituency from 1999-2007 apart from a few months occupied during same period by Dr Okey Enemuo who was eventually removed by the court because his name was submitted to INEC after the due date for names to be submitted to INEC has elapsed.

After Nze Duru’s tenure Aguata has not had any other quality Representative in the Green Chambers. It’s really a thing of regret that one of the most important Federal Constituencies in Nigeria has been Represented by those who could not perform.

This is 2018 and the times have changed. There is a performing Governor, an APGA Governor, a Working Governor who won a decisive 2nd term victory.

This is no joke. Aguata needs a “BREATH OF FRESH AIR”, and someone who has a track record of sound and unenviable service to the people, and a verifiable background of self accomplishments, either in business, civil service or private sector. Aguata does not need those who have been shaped by our corrupt political systems, but rather who will come and shape our politics and make it enviable and Noble. Engr Dom Okafor, KSM is the man.

The story of Rtn Engr Dom Okafor, KSM inspires even the uninitiated. A leader from youth who breezed through school with dedication and passion to better his humble background. Born to parents who were farmers and “villagers” he never looked back as he set a goal of accomplishments.

He graduated from the University of Nigeria Nsukka with honours in Mechanical engineering after which he served with Chevron Oil Company. After his Youth Service Blue Chip companies came after him with different offers but he settled with John Holt PLC where he served meritoriously for 7 years and resigned to venture into the private business.

He set up Jocaro Nig Ltd, a company that specializes in anything power. Today his company is retained as either supplier or services with high rate corporations like Fidelity Bank, Shell, LNG, Zenith Bank, Chevron, Diamond Bank, Seplat, Total Oil, ExxonMobil, TETFUND, Bank of Industries just to name a few.

Engr Dom Okafor is a man noted for service. He became the Secretary of his Community, Obiuno Igboukwu at a very young, after serving meritoriously he was elected as Assistant Secretary of the entire town, Igboukwu Development Union.

While in all these he never shirked his deep commitment and love for God and the Church. As a devout Catholic he was Patron of CWO at a very young age, and his commitments to the things of God enabled that he was admitted into the prestigious order of the Knight of St Mulumba, KSM.

Rtn Engr Dom Okafor was discovered early in life by the Rotary club because of his nature to serve and at a very age he joined the club in 1996. Rtn Engr Dom Okafor served Rotary club of Port Harcourt in 2011/2012 as President, and was adjudged the best President during his tenure among the 106 Rotary Clubs in District 9140 comprising the 11 states that make up South South and Southeast. He also served as Assistant Governor of the Rotary club in 2016/2017 where he supervised the activities of some clubs in the District 9140.

Engr Dom Okafor is a big thinker, and has always wanted to change the way our politics are done. This is because in his Community he had done several things like complete renovation of the Post Office, scholarship to indigent students, start up capital to some young entrepreneurs, and empowerment of women. Therefore service to him is a second name.

Aguata Federal Constituency will certainly benefit from Engr Dom’s wide experience, network and commitment to service.

There is every reason to support this Man of Service to provide unassailable and selfless service to the People of Aguata Federal Constituency.

Indeed a “MAN DEDICATED TO SERVICE SHOULD BE ELECTED TO SERVE”! Engr Dom Okafor, KSM is the man.
