United Nations Ambassador for Peace Advocate, Lord Mayor Solomon Ogbonna Aguene, has commended the Apex Igbo leader, Chief Emmanuel Iwuanyanwu, for identifying and recognizing him as the capacity Ohanaeze Ndigbo President in Lagos State.
P.M.EXPRESS reports that Chief Aguene stated this over the recent diplomatic honour bestowed on him by an International organization, International Association of World Peace Advocates.
He described the honour as a reward by God for his good works and conscience as Ohanaeze President, Lagos State.
He explained that the award came at the period the Ohanaeze Ndigbo Worldwide, Chief Iwuanyanwu demonstrated great leadership by publicly declaring him as the capacity President of Ohanaeze Ndigbo Lagos State.
Chief Aguene stated that Chief Iwuanyanwu made it clear that Chief Sunday Ossai is not a leader and not qualified to be one and that it is those who voted him that will be regretting because he cannot remove Chief Ossai.
He explained that Iwuanyanwu noted that Aguene has valid Court Consent Judgment as such he cannot dabble into the matter and he will go back to Imeobi and withdraw from their decision.
Chief Aguene stated that Imeobi can only dabble into a matter that has to do with Ezeship and not Ohanaeze election matters, where the Court has the final say as his own case, where he was confirmed as Ohanaeze President in the State.
He stated that Imeobi has no such powers and if they claim to have such they should start from Governor Hope Uzodimma of Imo State, who was declared Governor by Court.
Aguene urged Ndigbo to support him and stressed on the need to reorganize Ohanaeze to get another purposeful leadership after his tenure elapses in 2026 according to the judgment of the Court.
He also urged Ndigbo to support Chief Iwuanyanwu to finish the remaining seven months in office before his tenure elapses and it will be the turn of Rivers State to produce the next President Worldwide. But if they don’t have candidates, he will support Iwuanyanwu to continue as Ohanaeze President.
However, he explained that if Iwuanyanwu does not continue,  he will support the General Secretary of Ohanaeze Ndigbo, Ambassador Okey Emuchy, because he has experience and has worked under two Ohanaeze Presidents-Late George Obiozor and Chief Iwuanyanwu.
He explained that Lagos State Ohanaeze has no problem with Ambassador Emuchy noting that it was Chief Everestus Ozonweke that misled him to appoint him as Coordinator whereas such job is not meant for jobless people like Ozonweke, who appropriately supposed to have been appointed as Personal Assistant to deal with media people on any event organized by Ohanaeze Ndigbo.
