Ahead Ramadan Cup S/Final: Aje United Coach Vows To Stop IGFC

Head Coach of Aje United, Lanre Olojo has vowed that his team would stop Igando Football Club when both team clash in the semi final of the ongoing Igando Ramadan Football Competition.
The pulsating match would hold on Sunday at Igando palace playground, Alimosho.
Speaking ahead of the crucial encounter, Olojo said his players are in good frame of mind to take their opponents to the cleaner and boasted that anything short of victory would be a huge disappointment.
“IGFC should prepare for war because we are coming with high expectations. I have good players who are hungry for success and they are ready to go for victory against their opponents comes Sunday,” he said.
Olojo said his team have what it takes to reach the final and win the cup. He revealed that IGFC cannot stop them from achieving their result. He admitted that their opponents are one of the strong teams in the tournament, adding that his team would stop them on Sunday.
In his own comment, IGFC Coach Jamiu Aberejo said his team have very well prepared for their opponents and warned Coach Olojo to respect his team. He said Aje United are not a threat, boasting that his team would disgrace them on Sunday.
In the other quarter final matches played so far, Rakatu Rafiu Dada FC lost 2-4 on penalties to Sammy FC after a barren draw at the regulation time, Ever Increasing suffered 0-1 loss to Citadel FC, while Baggio FC walloped Kingbest FC 2-0 to reach the semi final stage.
Meanwhile three players are in the race to win the High Goalscorer award of the competition. Ahmed Liasu scored six goals; Lekan Ayinde scored five goals, while Yayah Subair scored four goals.
In the semi final parings made available to P.M. EXPRESS, Sammy FC tackle Baggio FC, while winners between Aje United and IGFC would face Citadel FC in the second semi final scheduled for next week’s Wednesday and Friday respectively.
The Chairman Organizing Committee, Prince Sulaiman Gbadamosi commended the Managing Director of Evergreen Groups Limited,Chief Iyk Madu-Obi who doubles as the cup donor for his moral and financial support since the tournament started three weeks ago. He said the cup donor has been singlehandedly sponsoring the competition in the last five years.
Gbadamosi charged Aje United and IGFC to abide by the rules of the game and wished all the two teams bests of luck in their outings.
