AIF 4th National Junior Tennis Championship Lights Up National Stadium Lagos

About 200 kids will be competing in this year’s Alhaji Adewale Isa Foundation (AIF) 4th National Junior Tennis Championship is set to serve off on August 28 through to September 2 at the Tennis Complex of the National Stadium Surulere, Lagos.

Alhaja Olayinka Adigun, daughter of Late Alhaji Adewale, who made this known during briefing with the media on Saturday August 26, noted that already 15 states and a club in Osogbo have registered their players for the championship which is opened for boys and girls within the ages of 12, 14 and 16 years.

The sports philanthropist, who was accompanied by one of her siblings, Nurudeen Isa, said prizes ranging from tennis rackets, shoes, bags and several other item will be won, while expressing optimism of a very competitive championships.

She explained that the aim of the championships is to discover burden talents and future tennis greats for the country.

“As of last week, we have received 108 entries from 15 states of the federation and club from Osogbo and more are expected register before the championship begins on Monday 28. We expect about 200 kids this time around.

“Last year was great but this year we expect to is a bigger and better championships, ” she said.

“It’s the dream of our late dad to discover and build tennis talents and that is what this championship is all about to keep his legacy on with the Adewale Isa Foundation,” she added.
