Eke made this announcement while addressing the club owners, managers, coaches, players and other stakeholders at the recent Alimosho Award Nigh which was put together by the Alimosho Football Coaches Council.

While addressing the gathering, Eke commended all the members of the organisng committee and Alimosho Football Coaches Council for their support given to him in the last three years as the chairman of the organizing committee of the league.

He particularly commended Olojo-Kosoko Lanre and Muhammed Abaerejo for their unalloyed support given to him as a chairman of the committee saying the duo stood by him during the critical period and promised to support the council and league management board in the next season.

Asked why he took such decision suddenly, the chairman of Samjason Football Club said he had served as the chairman of the committee for three years and time has come for him to step down and allow other person to continue where he stopped.

”I thank God for the success of the league and I also extend my appreciation to Alimosho Football Coaches Council for giving me the opportunity to serve as chairman for three years. In the last three years, When I was a chairman of the league committee, I was unable to concentrate on my club fully but now I want to have time for the team and execute all my programmes I have for them.

“If I am still the chairman of the committee, my club would suffer and I don’t want such things to happen so I am using this medium to urge the members of the committee to begin searching for the next chairman before the new season starts, “said Eke who congratulated Kotec for winning the league.

As at time of filing this report no comment was made by any member of Alimosho Football Coaches Council. It was gathered from reliable source that the council is planning to hold emergency meeting soonest whether to accept or reject decision of former chairman of the league committee.
