All Set For Coronation Of Chief Ugwumba As Ezendigbo Of Victoria Island Lagos On Saturday

All roads in Lagos on Saturday 23rd April, 2022, will lead to Victoria Island, Etiosa Local Government area, for the coronation of Chief Emeka Ugwakome a.k.a Ugwumba as the Ezendigbo of Iru-Victoria Island.
P.M.EXPRESS reports that dignitaries from within and outside Lagos State have already started arriving for the epoch making event.
The event, which is being organized by Ugwumba, Ohanaeze Ndigbo, Igbo leaders and stakeholders, will be held at Okotie Eboh, off Ribadu Road, Ikoyi, Lagos State.
Top personalities that will attend the epoch event include the amiable President of Ohanaeze Ndigbo Lagos State, Chief Solomon Ogbonna Aguene, Council of traditional rulers, Lagos State led by Eze (Dr) Chris Offia, who is also the royal father of the day, Eze Hycient Ohazuruike, Eze Christian Nwachukwu, Eze Uche Dimgba, Eze Charles Emesim, Eze Vincent Iwobi and other top dignitaries.
This was confirmed by Eze Offia, who is the Ezendigbo, Ibeji Lekki and Chairman of the Council of traditional leaders in Lagos State. He further stated that Chief Ugwumba has demonstrated to be passionate about the Igbo affairs, worthy to lead and protect the interest of Ndigbo in Victoria Island and indeed in Lagos State.
He stated that the occasion will be used to build more synergies with other ethnic groups and Igbo Community in Ibeji Lekki and indeed Lagos.
Chief Ugwumba, who also confirmed the coronation, stated that he was found worthy to be crowned the Ezendigbo because he has also championed the course of Ndigbo and will continue to do so.
He stated that the coronation means more work for him because to whom much is given, much is equally expected and he will continue to work for the unity, peace and progress of Ndigbo. He stated that during the event there will be display of Igbo rich cultural heritage such as masquerades, dance groups and others.
