In a bid to foster unity and further development in Ahoada East Local Government Area, Amb. Comrade Emeni Ibe, President General of the Orashi National Congress, has called for unwavering support for the administration of Governor Siminalayi Fubara.

The call was made during the Ahoada East LGA SIMplified Stakeholders meeting held at Ahoada Town on Sunday.

Addressing a distinguished audience composed of community leaders, respected elders, and members of the SIMplified political family, Amb. Comrade Ibe emphasized the need for continuous backing of Governor Fubara’s leadership, stressing that the collective support of the people is essential for sustained progress in Rivers State.

“I urge everyone here today to rally behind Governor Sim Fubara. Our unity and commitment are vital in ensuring that the governor’s vision for development is fully realized. Let us be proactive in our approach to governance and in addressing the needs of our communities,” Amb. Ibe stated.

The stakeholders’ meeting, which was well-attended by key political figures and illustrious sons and daughters of Ahoada East, focused on discussing strategies to bring tangible democratic dividends to the region. The atmosphere was charged with optimism as participants brainstormed on how best to move Ahoada East forward.

During his address, Amb. Ibe expressed his endorsement of the outlined development programmes by the Council Chairman, Hon. Chibudom Ezu, while urging the Local Government to adopt a proactive approach rather than a reactive stance in delivering services to the people.

One key recommendation by Amb. Ibe was for the council to allocate funds to cover electricity bills for the residents.

“Electricity is a crucial element for both economic activities and quality of life. I strongly believe that the council should consider using part of its budget to subsidize electricity bills for our people,” he advocated.

The meeting was graced by Hon. Chibudom Ezu, who presented his administration’s blueprint for the Local Government’s development, which received commendation from stakeholders. His vision centers on sustainable infrastructure, youth empowerment, and community-driven initiatives aimed at enhancing the livelihoods of the people in Ahoada East.

In recognition of the ongoing support from the State Government, Amb. Comrade Ibe extended heartfelt gratitude to the Chief of Staff to the Rivers State Governor, Rt. Hon. Edison Ehie, for his consistent guidance and leadership. He also used the opportunity to call on the people to embrace peace, unity, and a strong sense of responsibility.

“I appeal to everyone to live peacefully and unite as we work towards our shared goals. Let us rise to the occasion, uphold our responsibilities, and work together for the betterment of Ahoada East,” he concluded.

The stakeholders’ meeting, which marked a significant step towards galvanizing support for Governor Fubara’s administration, was hailed as a success by attendees. The collective resolve to support the governor’s developmental agenda promises to usher in a new era of growth and prosperity for Ahoada East LGA.
