However, the hand of fate came to him with relief when Ambassadors Abionanojie saw him crawling with difficulty to cross the road in Ikotun area and felt he was duty bound to show love and compassion on Ibrahim and later presented a wheelchair to him to change his condition for better.

Disclosing the motivation behind his action, the founder of Ambassador Ezewele Cyril Abionanojie Foundation explained that he was driving along the road when he saw Ibrahim struggling to cross the road and he had to use his vehicle to block other vehicles coming in order to enable Ibrahim to cross.

He said as he drove of, it came to his mind that he needed to buy a wheelchair to ease his movement. He then drove back to where he initially met him but did not see him.
He said he was worried to see him and buy the wheelchair having experienced similar situation when he had an accident as he knew that Ibrahim was passing through pain and he made up his mind to look out for him and help buy a wheelchair for him.

Ambassador Ezewele, as he is popularly known, said he could not find him, which made him to look for his friend from the Northern part of Nigeria, who then took him to the Hausa Community traditional ruler in Ikotun, Alhaji Nuhu Alhassan, who eventually located him.

He said Ibrahim was not the first person he had extended such hand of love to in the past as he disclosed that he had given out over 10 wheelchairs to less privileged people and will continue to do so in order to help alleviate the suffering of vulnerable people in the society.

The Sarki Ikotun, Alhaji Alhassan, while expressing his gratitude to Amb. Ezewele Cyril Abionanojie thanked God for his life for assisting Ibrahim.

He explained that the day Ezewele visited and told him to look for Ibrahim that he wanted to buy wheelchair for, was the day he accepted him as their brother.
He said what he had done by providing the wheelchair to Ibrahim was not done to him alone but the entire North and they will continue to pray for him.

In the same vein, the Sarki of Agodo Egbe kingdom, Ado Musa, who was present, said he was excited by the gesture and said when he was told about it, he changed his programme to witness the presentation. He prayed for Ezewele for God to continue to bless him.

Ambassador Ezewele has demonstrated genuine act of human kindness in the past by showing compassion to the less privileged in the society in Lagos.
