The Leader of Rivers Grassroots Movement (RGM), Ahoada-East Chapter, and President General of the Orashi National Congress (ONC), Amb. Emeni Ibe, has commended the national leadership of the Movement under High Chief Hon. (Amb.) In a statement issued on Monday, Amb. Ibe praised Amb. Jackrich’s extraordinary leadership in uniting stakeholders through the RGM platform, noting that the renewed appeal to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for the restoration of full democratic institutions in Rivers State was both timely and reflective of the people’s aspirations.
He also extended heartfelt congratulations to the Paramount Head of Oruwari Briggs War Canoe Houses and former governorship candidate, High Chief Barr. Dumo Lulu-Briggs, on his induction as a Trustee of the Rivers Grassroots Movement.
According to Amb. Ibe, “The honour bestowed on High Chief Barr. Dumo Lulu-Briggs is a recognition of his lifelong integrity, leadership, and selfless service to Rivers people. It is a testament to the kind of values and leadership our dear state requires at this time.”
The RGM Ahoada-East leader further expressed optimism about the political future of Rivers State, stressing that both the Orashi National Congress and the people of Ahoada-East are fully ready to support the process leading to the restoration of democratic governance.
“We are happy with the progress being made. The ONC is ready, and together with the Rivers Grassroots Movement, we shall stand firm for peace, accountability, and people-centered leadership as Rivers State embraces democracy once again,” Amb. Ibe affirmed.
He called on stakeholders across the state to remain steadfast, united, and focused on the collective good of Rivers people, urging all actors to learn from the past political crisis and work together to prevent future breakdowns.
