Ambode Opens Reconstructed Road In Ikoyi-Obalende LCDA

The Governor of Lagos State, Mr. Akinwunmi Ambode has commissioned the reconstructed Ademola Road, off Awolowo Road, Ikoyi, Lagos, Western Nigeria.
The road is one of the 114 roads reconstructed by Gov. Akinwunmi Ambode administration across the 20 LGAs and 37 LCDAs in Lagos State.
The governor was represented by his Special Adviser on Primary Health Centre, Dr. Femi Onanuga.
Residents of Ikoyi-Obalende, traditional rulers, politicians, CDAs, CDC members trooped out to witness the occasion.
They all praised Governor Ambode for doing a wonderful job in Lagos metropolis.
Dignitaries in attendance include Mr. Olawaale Edu, Mr. Balogun, who represented the Commissioner for Local Government, the Sole Administrator of Ikoyi-Obalende LCDA, Mr. Felix Goke Olawale, Mrs. Toyin Caxton-Martins, Mr. Abu Abiodun, and Mr. Kola Giwa.
Others included Gbolahan Yishau, Mr. Taiwo Afinnih, Mrs. Arinola Oluwo and the contractor of the road, Mr. Ogunbunfunmi Kunle, the M.D. Intranet Limited.
Delivering his keynote address, Gov. Ambode said: “we have come to celebrate another major landmark in the annals of progressive governance in our dear state, our Centre of Excellence. In my inaugural address, I articulated the concept of inclusive governance, a system in which our policies, projects and programmes shall be driven by the needs of our communities.
“A system in which our administration shall be led by the wishes and aspirations of the citizens, induced, a system in which the greatest good shall reach the greater majority of our people.
“Today, we are celebrating the translation of that vision to action, the transformation of our dream to reality across the length and breadth of our state.
“Between January and August, 2016 we made Lagos economy the most viable in the country by investing more than N19bn of the state and Local government funds in the infrastructural renewal, the 114 roads projects represent and 89 indigenous contractors executed the road.”
In his remark, the Sole Administrator of Ikoyi-Obalende LCDA, Mr. Felix Olawale Goke, thanked
Gov. Ambode for doing a wonderful job in the reconstruction of 114 roads across Lagos
metropolis.
He appealed to residents of Lagos to continue to support the governor to enable him do more
