Ambode Throws Stadium Gates Open For Federation Cup Finals

The Executive Governor of Lagos State, Akinwunmi Ambode has thrown the gate open for football fans wishing to watch the 2016 Federation Cup grand finale holding this Sunday at the Teslim Balogun Stadium, Surulere, Lagos.
Though the gates are being thrown open, the covered seats are reserved.
The grand finale that will see Rivers Angels football club taking on Bayelsa Queens football club in the Women’s final in the first match of the day starting from 1:00pm.
While FC Ifeanyi Ubah will slug it out with Nasarawa United for only remaining Continental ticket. The match promises to be highly explosive and interesting given the pedigree of both Nigeria Professional Football League, NPFL sides
Speaking on the preparation for the finals, Vice Chairman, Lagos State FA, Tade Azeez who is also a member of the Local Organising Committee, disclosed that the committee are working round the clock to deliver one of the best Federation cup finals in recent times.
He stated that plans has been concluded for a hitch free grand finale, adding that adequate security is been planned for the day to make it a family affair.
“We are working to make the day a memorable day not only for football fans but to make it a family affair,” Azeez who is also the President of Nigeria Referees Association, NRA submitted.
Meanwhile the accreditation process for media personnel wishing to cover the grand finale has commenced with the head of sports of such media houses told to send the name of their reporters, cameramen or photographers to the Director of Media and Communications of Nigeria Football Federation, NFF, Demola Olajire before Thursday this week.
