Billionaire Medical Doctor and PDP frontline aspirant, Dr Godwin Maduka, has told delegates that he is impatient to develop Anambra State and all out to make things happen. He stated this while addressing Anambra East Local Government Executives at Umueze Anam, during the 21 Local Government tour, which he embarked on recently to interact with them and discuss the way forward for the party.

Dr. Maduka assured them that he is the best man for the job and urged them to elect him as the flag bearer of the party based on his antecedents, his capacity and his passion to make Anambra become a frontline State in development and innovations. He told them that his primary mission and objective is basically to take Anambra state to a higher plane of development, adding that he has already paid his dues more than any other contender.
Speaking further, he maintained that it was impatience to be the best and become a vehicle for blessing others that made him achieve all he achieved in education with four Ph.Ds and that he was resolute in his mind to use education to fight poverty.

According to him,  “While growing up, there were countable educated people in my community. When I got scholarship to study in America, I saw the need to break the jinx and usher in a new era of progress in my community.  I knew that the destiny of my place has been thrust on my young shoulders, and I must either fulfill it or betray it. I had to discipline myself and indulge in delayed gratification to achieve my goals.”He went further, “I was impatient to get the best of education so I can begin to make impact in the world. My entire life has been driven by impatience, impatience to make the best out of life, impatience for excellence in my career, impatience to impact  the  world, impatience to stand out, impatience to be one of the lights in Africa. It was also that impatience that drove me to transform my community developmentally. That same impatience is what is driving my quest to govern Anambra State. I am filled with righteous anger at the situation of things here and I am sad that our potentials are unexplored.”

Maduka expressed his disappointment over what he described as low expectations from the people, “The culture of low expectations is shocking for a people that should be the light. I am impatient to galvanize all the fulcrum and the enablers of development, using the UN indices to massively transform this State. We are nowhere near where we should be. If there is anybody you should not doubt, I am that person. I have done it abroad and I have done it in Nigeria. My records are there for all to see, and whatever I did was in my private capacity.”

He charged the delegates to cast their votes for him, assuring them that he won’t betray their trusts.“Imagine the possibilities when we acquire political power. I say we because only you can make it possible. You have a role to play to salvage Anambra from the brink of collapse and set her foot towards sustainable and unparalleled development. This is 21st century. This election, the yardstick for development should be world cities like Oslo, Tokyo, New York etc and we have resolved to make Anambra the Tokyo of Nigeria. We should compete with the best. The world is leaving us behind, and we have a lot of catching up to do. History beckons on you. Hearken to it,” he said.
