Anambra 2021: PDP Will Not Fail If Voted Into Power, Ekwunife Assures Ndi Anambra

Ahead of the November 6 gubernatorial election, the Senator representing Anambra Central Senatorial District, Uche Ekwunife, PhD, has reiterated that the ideology of the PDP is focused on delivering the dividends of democracy to the people. She noted that the PDP would provide extraordinary developmental imprints to the people of Anambra.

Ekwunife, who made this known on Saturday, October 23, 2021, during the PDP campaign tour in Anaocha LGA described the PDP as the best choice for the people, urging party faithful to remain steadfast and work harder to ensure PDP returns to Agu Awka.

The influential lawmaker while assuring her constituents to partner with the PDP to restore good governance and infrastructural development noted that she has not failed in her primary responsibilities as a Senator and that PDP would not fail if elected in the upcoming election.

Ekwunife further described the candidate of the party, Mr. Valentine Ozigbo as an eminently qualified candidate enriched with potential, capable of ensuring development across all sectors of the state economy. She encouraged the people to turn out en masse to vote for the PDP candidate.

On his part, the PDP Vice Presidential candidate in the last elections, HE Peter Obi re-echoed the sentiment of the Chairman Senate Committee on Science Technology and Innovation, saying that he has full confidence that Ozigbo will perform exceedingly well as governor. He noted that Ndi Anambra would not afford to witness another 8 years of infrastructural deficit, adding that the PDP will make Ndi Anambra very proud if elected.

Continuing, the former governor commended Ekwunife for her giant strides on the floor of the senate, noting that the A-grade lawmaker is synonymous to quality representation. Obi decried the absence of governance in the state, stressing that the PDP administration will put a smile on the faces of the people.

Addressing the mammoth crowd, Mr. Ozigbo vowed that as governor he would make Anambra the best state in Nigeria, adding that he has the blueprint to transform the light of the Nation. He noted that PDP remains the only viable option when it comes to delivering purposeful dividends of democracy to the people of the state.

Speaking further, the immediate Past President of Transcorp commended Ekwunife for her role in the electioneering process, assuring that he will do her and her constituents very proud as a governor. He noted that Anaocha LGA houses the two foremost leaders[Obi and Ekwunife] of PDP in Anambra state, urging the people to ensure that the party gets a sweeping victory in the polls.

Earlier, during the campaign tour the PDP formally welcomed thousands of decampees from various political parties notably was Chief Goody Okeke, a former APGA chieftain.

Present were the wife of the PDP candidate, Mrs. Ojiugo Ozigbo, former governor candidate of the party, His Honour Oseloka H. Obaze, former deputy governor candidate, Lady Chidi Onyemelukwe, Former member representing Anaocha, Njikoka and Dunukofia Federal Constituency, Hon. Valentine Ayika, Secretary of the State Campaign Council, Mr. Ugochukwu Okeke (Enyioha), PDP Anaocha LGA Chairman, Chief Jude Onyeawuna amongst others.
