Anambra Polls: Soludo Compels Co-Contestants To Constant Medical Checkups

It was near ridicule and derision when the former Central Bank Governor, Professor Charles Chukwuma Soludo, innovatively initiated what he projected as Anambra 50 Year Development Plan because many a person saw such lofty ideas as one going to fetch water with a basket.

 Soludo having been instrumental to the viability, sustainability and stability of global economies including stabilising the banking sector and other sectors of the Nigerian economy, decided to become a prophet to be recognized in his home state Anambra through the introduction of viable economic policies captured in what he called Anambra 2070 Economic Road Map towards a prosperous future for many generations yet unborn.

 While many lampooned and derided him for thinking in the long run, other school of thought seem to subscribe to the future in his 50 Year Development Plan because of the inherent prospects and potentials in the said economic plan. Although the ex-CBN governor propounded and propagated the idea of a development plan in the long run, he did not hold tenaciously to the patent but instead, threw it open in the public domain for citizens to cross pollinate opinions on the most practicable and workable submissions as pathways to the realisation of the 50 Year Development Plan for Anambra state.

 Great thinking to reckon with. Now as the proponent of the aforestated robust economic blueprint seeks the mandate of Ndi-Anambra to administer and pilot their affairs as the governor of the state come November 6 this year, it would be most complimentary to say that a new Anambra of possibilities will emerge under Professor Charles Chukwuma Soludo because sustainable development is a product of long term planning, initiation of viable and workable policies and programmes, creation of an atmosphere conducive enough for self-discovery, harnessing of raw talents and potentials, providing an enabling environment for financial independence, jobs and wealth creation.

 A development agenda that will catapult Anambra state beyond the expectations and imaginations of advanced economies. That is what Professor Charles Chukwuma Soludo’s manifesto and economic roadmap represent in the short, medium and long term basis. The erudite professor of economics has been tried, tested and trusted locally, nationally and globally without blemish. Now it is time for his brothers and sisters in Anambra state to allow him prove his mettle again and count their blessings one by one. 

As the governorship election approaches, it is incumbent and of paramount importance for the electorate to bear in mind that the All Progressives Grand Alliance has changed the sad and melancholic narratives associated with Anambra state when it was a home for all and when tyrants and predators turned the state upside down ! Now the state is known as the Light of the Nation because APGA government has separated light from darkness through Governor Willie Obiano’s Operation Light-Up Anambra! Another election season has come. Another season to employ a capable hand to handle the International Cargo and Passenger Airport at Umueri, the International Conference Centre in Awka and a host of other signature projects of the present administration scattered around the state, has come. It should therefore be uppermost in the minds of the citizenry that APGA is Anambra and Anambra is APGA! 

Ndi-Anambra must resist temptations of returning to the abyss again because memories of maladministration and bad governance of opposition political parties still linger and can not be forgotten in a hurry. It is also pertinent to say that the fear of Professor Charles Chukwuma Soludo has forced many of his co-contestants to persistent medical checkups to ascertain blood pressure and vulnerability to hypertension and stroke! It is the dawn of a new era with Prof. Soludo. Let us rally round him with our votes and save Anambra state from marauders, villains, vampires, political buccaneers and brood of vipers desperate to clinch governmental powers by hook or by crook!!!
