Ismael Adewoyin: The Right Choice For Saki West, Saki East, ATISBO Federal Constituency Seat

Posted on March 24, 2026

The Nigerian general election is around the corner. For the people of Saki West, Saki East and Atisbo Federal Constituency, the election seems to be a make or mar project. This is because the constituency seems to be yearning for more quality representative than what is presently obtainable.

The incumbent House of Representatives member, Tajudeen Kareem Abisodun seems to have fell out of peoples’ favor in the Oke-Ogun power play hence 12 other aspirants from the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC have lined up to take over the position. Out of those eyeing the House of Reps seat in the constituency is Hon. Dr. Ismail Adewoyin.

Dr. Adewoyin appears to be more rooted in the grassroots politics than many other aspirants. He is known to be passionate about the development of his constituency, Oke-Ogun and Oyo State in general.

Adewoyin’s political journey began in Lagos, where he cut his teeth as a progressive on Ibidun Street, Surulere. Between 1993 and 1997, he was a familiar face in Ayilara Ward D, building connections and laying the groundwork for his future endeavors.

When his employer, Jide Taiwo & Co, posted him to Ibadan in 1997, Dr. Adewoyin maintained a foothold in Lagos, keeping his apartment for three years before settling in Ibadan. His Lagos connections remain strong, with associates urging him to contest in the city under APC.

In Oyo State, Adewoyin is a dedicated party member, consistently sponsoring APC victories in his Jangbadi polling unit, Okere Ward 8, Saki West Local Government Area in 2011, 2015, 2019, and 2023.

His community involvement includes pioneering roles in Magnificent Social Club, Surulere, and membership in Dapper Social Club and Flumeneze Football Club, Saki. He served as Sport Secretary of the Students Union at The Polytechnic, Ibadan’s Saki Satellite Campus.

Adewoyin holds key positions: National Secretary of Saki Parapo Association; Vice Chairman of Ibadan Chapter of National Association of Saki Elite, and National Secretary of Ansar-Ud-Deen High School Old Students Association, Saki. Regionally, he is the Organizing Secretary of Oke Ogun Development Consultative Forum (ODCF).

His advocacy for justice, fairness, and equality in Oyo State governance has spanned five years, earning him recognition as a social justice crusader.

His book, “Striving for Liberation and Leadership: The Travails of a Convener” (2022), shares his experiences.

Driven by a desire for transformative governance, Adewoyin is contesting for the House of Representatives in Saki West, Saki East, and ATISBO Federal legislative constituency in 2027.

His vision centers on compassionate leadership, integrity, accountability, community-centered politics, justice, fairness, good governance, and sustainability.

Weather Adewoyin’s rich political profile will translate to victory in the 2027 election is a matter of time.
