Anambra State Govt Disburses Cash Grants To Beneficiaries Of One Youth Two Skills Plus In Nnewi North

The Anambra State Government has disbursed cash grants to over 250 beneficiaries of the One Youth Two Skills Plus initiative in Nnewi North Local Government Area.
This significant milestone, achieved on 15th October, 2025, at the Nnewi North council headquarters, underscores Governor Chukwuma Soludo’s commitment to empowering 8,300 youths through a 3.5 billion naira digital empowerment grant.
The programme is designed to equip youths with employable skills, entrepreneurial acumen, and mentorship, thereby enabling them to become self-sufficient and contribute meaningfully to the state’s development. The beneficiaries were visibly elated, with many expressing heartfelt gratitude to Governor Soludo for this life-changing opportunity.
In his remarks, the Mayor of Nnewi North, Hon. Echezona Anazodo, commended Governor Soludo for providing a platform for youths to acquire diverse skills and handiwork, as well as empowering them with capital seed grants. Hon. Anazodo urged the beneficiaries to utilize the funds judiciously and strive for self-reliance.
The Special Assistant to the Governor on Youth Empowerment, Hon. Ebeku Tochukwu, highlighted the governor’s dedication to the success of the programme, revealing that Governor Soludo had directed that the beneficiaries’ funds be transferred directly into their individual bank accounts. Hon. Tochukwu also emphasized the governor’s commitment to the youths, encouraging them to reciprocate by supporting Governor Soludo’s re-election bid on November 8.
Furthermore, the Coordinator of the National Youth Council of Nigeria in Nnewi North, Comrd Emmanuel, applauded Governor Soludo’s unwavering commitment to youth development. He noted that the governor had allocated funds through the Anambra Small Business Agency to provide loans to interested participants, further underscoring his administration’s dedication to youth empowerment.
The beneficiaries, including Okoli Ejike, Nnadi Ifeyinwa, and Okwudolue Chiamaka expressed their profound gratitude to Governor Soludo for the support and empowerment, acknowledging the impact of this initiative on their lives and livelihoods.
