“And The Curtain Closes”

As the curtain of the 9th Assembly closes, my gratitude to Mr. Speaker Rt Hon. (Dr) Mudashiru Ajayi Obasa.

 

I thank you for being a father, I thank you for being a leader, A mentor, a Pathfinder a Teacher and most importantly a Friend whom I have confided in and would continue to confide in.

 

It’s been a Journey of 40 years for me and the last 4years has been my most remarkable years yet because I spent it with you.

I have served in different capacities in the Government of Nigeria, directly with 2 State Governors in Lagos and I can confidently tell you that your leadership style is second to None.

 

Your heart filled with Love and your eyes brimming Fire, your heart filled with compassion and your sight gazed on Success of your colleagues and upholding the tenets of democracy and the institution you represent.

 

As the curtain closes, I wish all my Principal officers, senior colleagues, colleagues, those I’ve found deep in my heart as friends and those that have shown me the true meaning of friendship , brotherhood and Loyalty.

To those I may have wronged in one way or the other, I say I’m Sorry and to those that may have wronged me I forgive you all as well.

As we all are going to embark on a new Journey I pray almighty Allah (God) grant us our heart desires as we venture into our next adventure in life.

My special appreciation to the entire Rookies of the 9th Assembly for making me your CAPTAIN ( 1st termer Colleagues) I’m proud of you all, we have shown dedication, genuine loyalty and love to our Principal Mr Speaker and we won’t stop praying for him. We have shown that brotherhood void of envy and hate does exist and we should continue to display just that.

In conclusion, Rt. Hon. (Dr) Mudashiru Ajayi OBASA, I thank you for the Award of Service handed to me and I make Bold to say YOU will SPEAK AGAIN!!!!…you have been a fighter, a dogged and rugged Leader, I have seen the good days with you and also the trial days and I’ve seen you one too many times weather the storm to become Victorious. You are loyal to the Party, Leadership and to your people. You will definitely Speak for US at the 10th Assembly.

I have found myself lucky and privileged to be your ADC – IBILE and to be part of the great 9th assembly and most importantly to be identified as One of the Many ( OBASA BOYS) I give all adoration to God almighty for making our paths cross and if I have to choose a leader and a Mentor again, I will always choose you.

As the curtain closes, I bid farewell to all Colleagues in good health and wealth, especially those going ahead to achieve greater feats in their respective endeavors and for those of us coming back to constitute the 10th Assembly i congratulate us all and will continue to look forward to our Principal Rt. Hon. Mudashiru Obasa to lead the 10th Assembly so as to continue his good works and SPEAK AGAIN!!!
