Anigbogu Family Mourns Patriarch & Announces Burial Date

The Anigbogu Family has formally announced the death and funeral arrangements of Prof Sylvanus Okwudili Anigbogu. 
In a statement signed by Kenechukwu S. Anigbogu, PhD, the family said, “We formally announce the death and funeral arrangements of our beloved Father, Brother, Uncle and Grandfather, Prof Sylvanus Okwudili Anigbogu FNCS, whose sad event occurred on Thursday, September 26, 2024. The burial has been fixed for Thursday, November 28, 2024”.
“Our father was a teacher and mentor to many. He was the backbone of support to our family, and to others who passed through his tutelage. We give gratitude to God for the life he lived.”
“Through the dint of hardwork, Late Professor Anigbogu rose through the ranks in Academics. His remarkable journey from the level of a secondary school teacher to become the first Professor of Computer Science, Nnamdi Azikiwe University Awka epitomized his virtues which include, hardwork, discipline and integrity.”
“Professor Anigbogu held several positions in the field of academics, church and community. He was the Dean, Faculty of Physical Sciences Nnamdi Azikiwe University, South East Coordinator, Nigeria Computer Society (NCS), Vice President General Nimo community, Vice President Parish Counsel to Nimo denary and Ambassador to the Catholic Diocese of Awka.”
“Our Late Father served humanity in many ways. His foundation, the Nze Cyprian Anigbogu Foundation named after his late father, has awarded scholarships to students from indigent families from primary to university education. He was the National President Old Boys Association of St. Mary’s High School Ifitedunu, where he is currently building a school hostel of 4 apartments which he intended to hand over to the school through the bishop this December.”
“In spite of the huge gap his demise has left on our family, we are encouraged to carry on his legacies.”
“We thank friends and well-wishers who have condoled with us, as we continue to pray for his peaceful repose. May God grant him eternal rest. Amen.”
