Barely 24 hours after an unidentified young girl was found dead after she was reportedly murdered by unknown assassins and dumped in a street corner in the Ikotun area of Lagos, another victim has been discovered in a similar situation in the same Ikotun axis of Lagos.

P.M.EXPRESS reports that the new corpse was discovered by the residents on Monday morning at Balogun Street off Ikotun Igando road in Ikotun area of Lagos.

The identity of the victim was not yet known as residents told P.M.EXPRESS that she was not living in the area because her face was not familiar.

P.M.EXPRESS gathered from the residents that the striking thing about the two victims was that their lifeless bodies were found few metres to a hotel in those two areas.

What could have caused her death was not yet known because there was no doctor’s report.

However, some residents believed that she must have been murdered and secretly dumped there.

The residents told our correspondent that they woke up in the morning and found the lifeless body which was still fresh.

It was learnt the victim might have come to the area for an undisclosed mission before she was killed and dumped there.

When P.M.EXPRESS visited the scene in the evening on Monday the corpse was still lying there and the police was making efforts to remove the corpse to be deposited at the mortuary.

Some of the residents told P.M.EXPRESS that there was need for security agents to keep watch over the activities in some hotels in the area because of the kind of activities they hold like ladies night and strip activities that bring young women from other areas.

When our reporter contacted the Divisional Police Officer, DPO, he confirmed the incident and promised to dispatch his men to the scene to carry the corpse and deposit at the mortuary for autopsy report.

The DPO also said the police has since commenced investigation on the matter and will unravel the cause of the deaths.

However, P.M.EXPRESS gathered from the residents that the hotel owners settle the police and that was why the police were looking the other way on the activities of those hotels.

The information however was yet to be confirmed or denied by the police officers.
