ANSEC Continues On Intense Execution Mode As More Feeder Roads Gain Approval
The Anambra State Executive Council (ANSEC) has approved the construction of additional feeder roads in the state, further demonstrating its commitment to improving the state’s infrastructure and enhancing the quality of life for Ndi Anambra.
At its 38th meeting, ANSEC gave the green light for the construction of the Uga – Amesi – Otikpo Road with a spur through the Catholic Cathedral Ekwulobia. This project is expected to ease transportation, boost economic activities, and improve the overall well-being of the people in the affected areas.
According to Dr Law Mefor, the Honourable Commissioner for Information, the contract for the project has been awarded to JOVIANI Engineering Ltd at a total cost of N1,262,534,727.00 (ONE BILLION, TWO HUNDRED AND SIXTY-TWO MILLION, FIVE HUNDRED AND THIRTY-FOUR THOUSAND, SEVEN HUNDRED AND TWENTY-SEVEN NAIRA ONLY). Project timeline is 6 Months from the date of mobilization
This approval is in line with the state government’s policy of providing critical infrastructure that supports the socio-economic development of the state. It also underscores the administration’s determination to open up more rural areas, thereby reducing poverty and promoting economic growth.
