APC Holds Joint Campaign Rally In Yaba LCDA, Mainland LG

APC members in both Yaba LCDA and Mainland LG at a joint

 rally on Wednesday ahead and local council election on Saturday. 

 

The All Progressive Congress, APC, in both Yaba Local Government Development Area, LCDA, and Lagos Mainland Local Government have held a joint campaign rally to solicit for votes of residents amidst pomp and pageantry.

The rally was held to drum up support for the candidates of the party in Saturday’s Local Government elections for chairmen, vice chairmen and councillors.
For Yaba LCDA, Hon. Kayode Omiyale is vying for the post of Chairman, while Hon. Bola Aileru is for the Vice Chairman post.

In Lagos Mainland LG, APC has Hon. (Mrs) Rashidat Omolara Essien as the Chairperson, while Alhaji Jubril Emilagba is vying for Vice Chairman post.
The carnival like rally, which was flagged off at the Rowe Park in Yaba, drew out large turnout of party faithful, who include Hon Jide Jimoh, a member of the Federal House of Representatives, representing Lagos Mainland, Prince Olanrewaju Muhammed, the Senatorial Youth Leader, who is also a member of the Lagos APC state executive.

Others were Hon. Rufus Adekanye, member of Lagos House of Assembly, representing Mainland Constituency 1, Alhaji Sakirudeen Farayola, Yaba LCDA APC chairman, Alhaji Tajudeen Quadri, Mainland APC chairman, party leaders such as Chief Tayo Oyemade, Alhaji Monsurudeen Alaoseniyan and Hon Kemi Banjo, who is the chairman of campaign finance committee and former chairman of Lagos Mainland LG  were also present at the rally.

With music and dancing, the rally took members of the party to all the nook and crannies of both Yaba LCDA and Mainland LG. Souvenirs of different kinds were freely given out to residents amidst cheers and praises, as they took to door to door campaign.

Senatorial Youth Leader, Prince Muhammed told journalists that the large turnout at the rally testified to the popularity and acceptability of APC in the two local councils.

“This kind of rally has never happened in any local government area in Lagos State. This shows that there is love and friendliness here. You can see the enthusiasm displayed by the residents and their promised that come Saturday they would give our party their votes.

“The performance of our amiable Governor, Mr Akinwunmi Ambode has given us the courage to seek for the people’s votes in this election. All our candidates are tested with proven integrity. I can assure that we will be victorious in Saturday’s election, ” Prince Muhammed said.
