APC Ilaje Support Group Pays Congratulatory Visit To AJIF LG Chairman, Pa Rabiu Oluwa

The All Progressives Congress, APC, Ilaje Support Group, a socio ethnic political organization of the Ilajes in Lagos, on Tuesday September 2 paid a congratulatory visit to Hon. Olamilekan Olu Akindipe (Lampholder) the Chairman of Ajeromi Ifelodun Local Government of Lagos State.

The Group, which was led by its Chairman, Aare Olabode Ojabogun, comprised of notable leaders of the socio political group such as Revd. Nicodemus Odolo, the Apex leader, Dr. Obayelu, Pa Akinbulu and woman leader Mrs. Ashogbon among others.

Aare Ojabogun, while congratulating Hon. Akindipe on his victory at the polls, used the occasion to intimate him about the role and contributions of the APC Ilaje Support Group to not only his electoral victory in the July 2025 local government council area election but also that of Governor Sanwo-Olu, President Bola Tinubu and other elected APC office holders in the 2023 general elections as well as the 2024 Ondo State gubernatorial election victory of Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa.

Aare Ojabogun made it known to the Chairman that the political strength of the Ilajes in Lagos lies in its huge population scattered across the State and which has been instrumental to the electoral fortunes of the APC across Lagos State.

He also intimated Hon. Akindipe that the association is right now mobilizing its members to ensure active participation of eligible persons of Ilaje extraction in the ongoing continuous voters registration (CVR) exercise by INEC in preparation for the 2027 general election.

Hon. Akindipe, in his remarks, commended the Ilajes for their political consciousness and active participation not only in Lagos politics, but wherever they are domiciled within the federal Republic of Nigeria.

He acknowledged the role of the Ilajes especially in Ajeromi Ifelodun Local Government and their contributions to his electoral victory which is immeasurable.

The Chairman then charged the APC Ilaje Support Group to engage the youths on the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Tinubu administration which is meant to set the country on the pedestal to greatness and its rightful place in the comity of nations.

The Group also visited elder Statesman, leader and GAC member of the APC Lagos West Senatorial Zone, Pa Rabiu Oluwa in his residence to commend him for his leadership quality and fatherly disposition.

Pa Oluwa, while welcoming the group, noted that he’s not unaware of the laudable contributions of the group to the electoral fortunes of the APC in Lagos State and Nigeria generally, just as he charged them to go out there and propagate the genuine intentions and programmes of the President Bola Tinubu administration to the overall good and prosperity of all Nigerians.

Pa Oluwa admonished the APC Ilaje Support Group, to always remain steadfast and loyal to it’s founding principles which has made it a shinning light among socio political groups not only in Lagos State, but in Nigeria.
