Posted on February 11, 2026
Prominent leaders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) have met in Lagos to review key party activities, including the ongoing electronic membership registration exercise and preparations for the forthcoming party congresses.

At the meeting, the leaders stressed the need for unity, cooperation, and collective responsibility among party leaders and members as the APC continues to strengthen its structures and position itself for future electoral contests.

The leaders commended the outcome of the Lagos West Senatorial District Leaders’ Caucus meeting held on Friday, 6th February 2026, at the official residence of the Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly. The caucus, chaired by Prince Rabiu Oluwa, had resolved that party executive committee positions should be equitably shared among the various tendencies within the party, a move described as key to fostering cohesion and internal harmony.

The Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly, Rt Hon Mudashiru Obasa, was also praised for his sustained support for the party, particularly his interventions during the yuletide season, his contributions to the APC e-registration exercise, and his broader statewide initiatives aimed at strengthening party structures.

The meeting concluded with a call for calm, effective coordination, and inclusiveness among all stakeholders to ensure seamless preparations for the 2027 general elections in Lagos State.
