The National Women Leader of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Dr. Mrs. Mary Alile, has expressed shock and deep sadness over the death of Alhaja Ramota Bankole while still on Hajj in Saudi Arabia.
In her condolence message, the Women Leader said, “It is with profound sadness and a heavy heart that we received the news of the passing of Alhaja Ramota Bankole, the esteemed leader of the Lagos Chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC), after performing her Hajj rites in Saudi Arabia”.
“Alhaja Ramota Bankole, who recently celebrated her 60th birthday, was a dedicated member of the APC family and served diligently as the former Welfare Secretary. Her sudden demise, following the extreme heat experienced during the pilgrimage, is a tragic loss to us all. The confirmation of her death by the council chairmen of Epe Local Governments, Eredo, and Ikosi-Ejirin Local Council Development Area (LCDA) has left us in deep shock and sorrow.”
“Alhaja Ramota’s unwavering commitment to the party and her community will always be remembered. She was a beacon of strength and dedication, always hale and hearty, ready to serve until her last moments. Her departure has created a void that will be hard to fill.”
“On behalf of the entire APC family, I extend our heartfelt condolences to the Bankole family, APC members, and the entire people of Epe. May Almighty Allah grant her eternal rest and give her family the strength to bear this irreplaceable loss.”
“We mourn together as a community and honour her memory by continuing to uphold the values she stood for” Dr. Mrs. Mary Alile concluded.
